Youth @ General Synod June 24-30, 2009

UPDATE:

The MA Conference – MACUCC – is coordinating a delegation to be a part of Youth @ General Synod! We will be heading out to Grand Rapids on Wednesday, June 24th and returning to MA on Wednesday, July 1st. Transportation arrangements are being finalized right now and details will be available shortly.

If you would like to go...the trip is open to those who will be entering 9th -12th grade in the Fall of 2009 as well as 2009 high school graduates. We are still accepting registrations, but need to have the registration form and a deposit of $50 in hand by March 1st. Please contact Kris LoFrumento for the registration form at lofrumentok@macucc.org or by phone 508-875-5233 x274 (and include in the message your name, the name of the youth who will be registering, and an email address where the form can be sent).

The cost of the trip is $540 for youth and $590 for adults...this includes 21 meals from lunch on 6/24 through breakfast on 7/1 as well as housing at Aquinas College, youth programming, service projects, and the registration fee for General Synod. The cost of transportation will be covered by the MA Conference...however SPACE IS LIMITED.

In July of 2008, the MACUCC took over 60 youth and leaders on a trip to the National Youth Event in Knoxville, TN…in ’09 we’ll join thousands of other youth and adults at General Synod in Grand Rapids, MI. Join us for an amazing experience as you see the larger church in action, do service work in and around Grand Rapids, meet youth from all over the country and beyond, and deepen your faith and broaden your experience of church.
