BRIEFCASE SEMINAR INFORMATION

KNITTING MINISTRY, Leader-Connie Holt – Member of First Church of Christ UCC in Sandwich. All are welcome to learn how a knitting ministry can bring a new type of mission and outreach to your congregation. Prayers can be woven into the fabric of each item. The act of knitting can be an act of prayer and contemplation.

CHILE CONNECTION – Leaders – Judy Robillard and Shirley Bent. Judy is a member of the First Congregational Church in Rowley and Shirley is a member of the Halifax Congregational Church UCC. These ladies went to Chile several years ago. They will tell of their experiences and how we can support the women of the Pentecostal Church in Chile.

ADULT FAITH FORMATION – Leader is Susan Dickerman, one of the Associate Conference Ministers on the staff of the Massachusetts Conference UCC. She also serves as the Director of Christian Education at the Edwards Church UCC in Framingham. She brings a wealth of experience and a myriad of resources to this workshop.

MISSIONS FROM A NEWBIES POINT OF VIEW-Leader is Linda Ann Coy, a member of First Congregational Church in Worcester. When new to mission in her church she looked back, read everything in the office folder and checked on the projects ahead. Then she decided that she and her co-chair husband could put their own stamp on the new, tweak the established and branch out at every opportunity. She would like to encourage others that being green is ok, change is good, mistakes happen and share what she did to keep her committee moving ahead.
