What My Money Does
Through the United Church of Christ
"To
each is given the manifestation of the Spirit for the common

IN
MY LOCAL CHURCH:
Supports
the life of the body of Christ, through my annual, capital
campaign and planned giving, as it lives out its faith:
- by preaching, singing and celebrating the Work on Sunday
mornings,
- by teaching children of God's love for them in Sunday
school,
- by adult and youth bible study,
- by helping youth learn to live a Christian life though
youth and confirmation groups,
- by caring for each other in fellowship and parish care
programs,
- by expressing their love for their neighbor through food
pantries, Habitat for Humanity projects and other local
ministries, and
- by welcoming the alienated and lonely into the loving
arms of the church family
IN
THE MASSACHUSETTS CONFERENCE, UCC:
Supports
the wider work of the body of Christ in Massachusetts, through
Fellowship Dues and Our CHurch's Wider Mission Basic Support,
as it lives out its faith:
- by equipping ministers through the Pastoral Excellence
programs,
- by providing pastoral search and placement services,
- by providing Sunday School resources,
- by equipping churches through the training of Evangelism
and Mission coaches,
- by providing youth programs such as confirmation retreats,
summer camps and mission trip opportunities,
- by strengthening the local church in its work by providing
programs for church members and leaders on Christian Education,contemporary
worship, congregational life, spirituality, justice and
mission, stewardship,planned giving, church growth, safe
church, open & affirming, leadership development and
more,
- by equipping churches to respond and participate in the
Still Speaking Initiative
- by providing assistance in conflict intervention and resolution,
- by providing print and electronic resources for use in
local churches,
- by providing the Massachusetts edition of the United Church
News,
- by providing information an resources through the Conference
website - www.macucc.org
IN
THE NATIONAL CHURCH:
Supports
the wider work of the body of Christ nationally and globally,
through OUr Church's Wider Mission Basic Support and OCWM
special offerings, as it lives out its faith:
- by sending missionaries to 85 countries around the world,
- by Justice and Peace ministries,
- by Refugee resettlement,
- by Disaster preparedness and response,
- by interfaith dialog,
- by advocacy for human rights,
- by international social and economic development,
- by educational ministries, on campuses and with UCC-related
colleges and seminaries,
- by starting new churches and supporting pastoral leadership,
- by providing curriculum resources for children,youth and
adults,
- by pension supplementation for retired ministers,
- by providing worship resources,
- by coordination of volunteer ministries,
- by publishing the United Church News and the UCC website,
- by the "God is Still Speaking: evangelism campaign
and the "Still Speaking.com" website,
- by leadership training in stewardship and evangelism,
- by providing resources for annual stewardship programs,
capital campaign and planned giving
