The Board of Ministerial Aid

The Board of Ministerial Aid, founded in 1869, provides confidential financial assistance to both clergy and their families who serve, or have served in the Massachusetts Conference of the UCC and other congregations of the "congregational way".

Assistance provided includes:

  • Emergency Grants providing money for an immediate need or to serve as a bridge to a long term solution.
     
  • Quarterly Grants providing assistance for retired clergy and /or spouses and partners to supplement inadequate retirement income.
     
  • Educational Grants providing assistance for ordained ministers in meeting seminary debt obligations.

Money Management InternationalIn addition, The Board of Ministerial Aid has formed a relationship with Money Management International to provide financial counseling services for active and retired ministers who have standing in the Massachusetts Conference.  If you have excessive credit card debts, are unable to balance income with expenses, or wonder about the best way to catch up with unpaid bills; MMI can assist you with issues such as these at no cost to you.
