Educator's Certification Program

The Educator's Certification program is designed to equip people for the educational ministry of the church.  Certification will indicate an educator has a level of proficiency through knowledge, experience and training following completion of all six sessions and two other electives offered at NEAUCE or Super Saturdays and as such should be appropriately compensated for their achievement. Certified educators will receive recognition in their local churches and throughout the Conference.  The Certification Program is coordinated by Elsa Marshall, Commissioned Minister and Assoc. for Christian Education at the MACUCC and the Director of the Resource Center.

 REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum 1 year experience in the field of Christian Education (time during participation in certification program included),
  • Completion of all  MACUCC Certification courses: Old Testament & New Testament, Worship & Sacraments, UCC History, Polity, and Identity, Basics in Christian Education & Administration, Theories of  Religious Education, Human and Faith Development, Resources, Curriculum and Safe Church Policies.
  • Plus two electives offered at Super Saturdays and/or NEAUCE.
  • Participation in a MACUCC CE Community of Practice.
  • AUCE membership.
