Interim Ministry

Transitional Ministry in MACUCC!

An important time in the life, health and future of a local congregation is the “interim-time!” Resources on the web, regional and conference staff time, as well as a Transitional Ministry Committee meet monthly to coordinate and initiate programs plus introduce the newest insights and materials.

With the Mission Statement of the Massachusetts United Church of Christ, “Rooted in the grace of God, the mission of the MACUCC is to nurture local church vitality and the covenant among our churches to make God’s love and justice real.”

Most Interims are involved in the Communities of Practice, some with only other Interims, others with both Settled and Interims. Annually, Interims gather together for an “In-Service Day” and are part of the collegiums and other workshops sponsored by the Mass Conference Leadership.

• An Interim Profile must include the Interim Profile, a Statement on Ministry and a

Criminal Background Check (Oxford Document) which is processed by contacting:
