MILFORD, The First Congregational Church is seeking a part time Director of Christian Education to provide leadership, guidance and resources including curriculum recommendations for all aspects of Religious Education within the church.
The Candidate should be an enthusiastic person of faith with a love of working with children of all ages (Pre-k to High school) along with adults. This person will work as part of a team, led by the Minister and serve as a liaison between the administrative aspects of the church and the Religious Ed. Committee.
Responsibilities include selecting and ordering curriculum (with the Minister and RE approval) for all Sunday School Programs, recruiting and training teachers, along with developing and implementing programs for the church’s education and enrichment. (Summer Programs, Youth Sunday Services, Adult Ed. Classes.)
A Degree in Education and a Certification in Christian Education are preferred. This is a salaried position of approximately 20 hours per week. Our church is blessed to have such a great group of children and teacher volunteers who are excited about coming to Sunday School each week and are all very active in the church. SHERBORN, Pilgrim Church, United Church of Christ, is seeking a Senior High Youth Group Leader, to begin work on or before 8/25/08. Pilgrim Church is a vital and active metro-west UCC congregation of 500 members. At the heart of our ministry is a commitment our young people. The youth group averages 30-40 high school youth per week and meets weekly (Monday evenings) for the school calendar year. Program includes a meal (provided by parents) and a lesson/activity. Our program also includes a yearly work camp to a United States location. The salary is $12,000 with an expectation that the job requires 10-15 hours per week. AUBURNDALE/NEWTON United Parish of Auburndale, a federated United Church of Christ/ United Methodist Church is seeking an energetic, organized, imaginative person to fill the part-time position (12-15 hours per week, for 10 months) of Youth Minister. UPA is an Open and Affirming and Reconciling congregation.
The desired person will be responsible for the Christian Education of the active middle school and high school aged youth of the church. This will include at least two youth group meetings each month, and the planning and leading of a yearly socially and/or environmentally consciousness raising weekend retreat (Current youth group meetings are 11:30-1 on Sunday) The Youth Minister will assist the pastor with the Confirmation Class.

LEXINGTON, Hancock United Church of Christ is searching for a Director of Children’s Ministries (‘DCM’). Hancock, an open and affirming church, is one of the largest (800 members) and most active UCC churches in Massachusetts. Our youth programs include over 175 children. We are looking for an individual with strong organizational and administrative skills, as well as a passion for working with families and their children of all ages. MELROSE, First Congregational Church, United Church of Christ is seeking an energetic and creative person of faith from a progressive Christian background to serve as our Director of Christian Education.
We have an active, vibrant, growing Sunday School program with 60 to 70 children and youth. Our Youth Ministry includes Middle School and High School youth. This position will require someone with good organizational and communication skills and who can work effectively with volunteers.
Responsibilities of this position are to coordinate our youth ministry programming which includes organization of an annual mission trip along with other service, recreational and faith development activities. This position provides oversight of the Sunday School curriculum, recruitment and support of Sunday School teachers, coordination of Sunday morning classroom time and direction of special worship and fellowship events for the children. This person will act as a liaison with our Nursery Care Coordinator. A team of Deacons will assist with Sunday School and youth ministry programming.

WALPOLE, United Church, an open and affirming congregation of the United Church of Christ, is seeking a Youth Coordinator to oversee a dynamic program of Christian fellowship for youth, grades 5-12. Two youth groups, each with average attendance of 15 young people and a team of lay leaders, meet regularly to engage in fellowship and fun, worship, and service.

MANCHESTER BY THE SEA, First Parish Church, Congregational, of is seeking a Pastoral Assistant for program year 2008-2009. The Pastoral Assistant will support the educational ministry of First Parish Church under the general direction of the Pastor, focusing primarily on adult education. One major role will be to lead, support and extend the current extensive program of adult small group ministries, including maintaining and extending mailing lists and publicity for all such groups with the support of the office administrative staff. Another role will be to provide a pastoral presence in support of the Director of Christian Education and adult volunteers in the church school. It is envisioned that this function may include elements such as providing a small worship experience on Sunday morning for adult volunteers; responding to questions of a theological nature which may arise from adult volunteers; acting as a resource for parents of church school children; and advising the DCE and Christian Ed Committee on the content of the church school program.
It is envisioned that the above functions will constitute about 15-20 hours per week, with the PA being present most Thursday evenings, Friday mornings, and Sunday mornings as noted and occasional time in addition to those periods.
